How to reload the packing tape dispenser?

1. Remove the empty cardboard roll from its spindle. Most packaging tape dispensers have non-removable spindles and rollers.

2. Remove a new roll of tape from the box and position it on the roller so that it unwinds counter-clockwise. Faced towards the metal cutting edge is where the tape end with the colorful tab should be.

3. After removing the loose end from the roll, insert the tape through the opening created by the roller and the safety shield. The tape's adhesive side should be pointing downward.

There are dispensers without safety shields. Simply wind the tape around the spinner in this instance, ensuring that the sticky side of the tape is on the underside of the tape strip that extends over the top of the roll.

4. Carefully lift the tape roll's colorful tab and place it over the dispenser's pointed cutting edge. Cut the tab that is colored off. Avoid touching the cutting blades with your fingertips.

5. There might be a button to change the tape's tension level in the center of the spindle that holds it. As necessary, adjust this to allow the tape to move smoothly across a box or crate.

6. Make sure the tensioner is set correctly and the tape is loaded accurately. Take a big box and seal the open sides with your hands on top.
