How to put the tape into desktop tape dispenser?

When you run out of tape in the middle of a project, you may find yourself "stuck" with few options. To ensure that you have extra rolls of tape available for when the dispenser needs to be refilled, try to have a few extra rolls on hand.

1. Remove the empty roll.

The empty roll needs to be a roller or plastic spindle. Take out the empty roll and the roll which is holding it. Lift the spindle upward and to the back of the dispenser to slide it out of the grooves it is sitting in.

4. Line up the tape.

Keep the roll fully in your hands so that the tape strip will unravel over the top of the roll as you pull it. The tape's sticky side should be facing the floor and downward.

5. The tape roll should be slid onto the spindle.

The majority of rollers will fit into the tape dispenser in either direction when a new roll is slid onto the spindle.

6. Adjust the spindle.

As you hold the spindle, make sure the paper tab on the roll's end faces up and toward the dispenser's front. Reinstall the spindle and the new filled roll of tape in the dispenser. Align it with its holding grooves to allow for unrestricted movement.

7. Load the tape.

Release the paper tab at the end of the tape by holding onto it and pulling it in the direction of the dispenser's cutting edge. To cut off the colored tab, pull the tape over the sharp edge and then pull down on it.
